Kitui get a boost to the health sector

The county government of Kitui has opened a new level 4 hospital in Kitui south.

The facility is aimed to address the heath challenges that the locals are facing.  The project is intended to help residents who have been traveling 100km to access the services at Kitui level five hospital.

The facility is fully equipped to start offering the services. Kitui south level 4 hospital has been built from scratch.  According to the county government, the hospital has used 60 million. Residents of ikuitha market, Kitui south constituency have shown their happiness as they turned up during the opening of the hospital. This is one of major projects done by the county.

This is not the only health project in progress.  Kitui county government will soon commission an oxygen manufacturing plant to boost operations in Kitui general hospital and other county facilities. The blood transfusion Centre is a joint deal with the national blood transfusion Centre. This will allow the hospital to do blood transfusion processes.

According to Kitui Governor Julius Malombe, the heath sector has improved in the past Five years. Malombe was speaking in Ikuitha market on Monday during the opening of the Kitui south level four hospital.
