Wiper Party Machakos gubernatorial candidate and former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti has sent a strong message to bitter rival Machakos Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua. Ndeti promised Mutua that she will hand him a credible defeat come August in the General Election.
”I will defeat Mutua by 8 am on August 9, after the General Election and that is a promise,” Wavinya is quoted. In an interview with K24 on Wednesday, May 10, Ndeti promised to clean up the mess caused by Mutua and his administration. ”If elected the Governor of Machakos I will clean the mess that is in the county, in my first 2 years I will make sure people get water,” Ndeti is quoted.
Ndeti accused Mutua of not paying contractors in the county and failure to address the decay and fraud facing his administration. The former legislator said she will win the Machakos gubernatorial seat as she had the support of the people as they are tired of Mutua and his ‘cinema’ development.
”The people of Machakos are tired of Mutua and his cinema we want real development, not cinema and PR. Even Ken wa Maria sang about it. We are tired of cinema,” she said.
Ndeti won repeat Wiper Machakos gubernatorial primaries with avalanche against deputy governor Bernard Kiala with a whopping 227,947 votes while her opponent came a distant second with a miserable 4,508. She had previously garnered 299,312 votes in an exercise which had been called shambolic by Kiala who had only managed 4,663 votes.
