4 Of Sonko’s Supporter Struck By Electricity

Four Sonko supporters were knocked off the roof of the truck and were rushed to the Kenyatta National Hospital for treatment. A 14-year-old boy was among four people who were electrocuted while dancing on top of a Mike Sonko campaign truck on Wednesday, May 18.

The four reportedly hit live electric cables along the Haile Sellasie Avenue and were thrown off the roof. A 30-year-old Sonko supporter Peterson Juma and Robert Muia who is 18 were among the four who are currently admitted to a hospital.

They were rushed to the Kenyatta National Hospital immediately after the accident. The incidence was reported to the Kamukunji police station the same day. Sonko was in the company of DP Ruto and Nairobi Senatorial seat hopeful Johnson Sakaja. Mike Sonko campaigned in Kariokor for the recently inaugurated Mike Sonko’s running mate Polycarp Igathe.

Igathe who is the currently the managing director at Vivo Energy will deputize Sonko on the race for the Nairobi seat against Governor Evans Kidero. Mike Sonko on Thursday evening, May 18, outlined his first 100 days as governor of Nairobi. The fiery senator promised Nairobians that he will be an honest and fair governor compared to incumbent Evans Kidero.
