Maendeleo Chap Chap party (MCC) today hosted its candidates to a one day retreat on strategies of winning the next general election. The meeting was held at the Nyayo National Stadium auditorium.

The party candidates have resolved to undertake peaceful campaigns and to protect public funds upon winning the election. This is in line with the party’s mission that seeks to foster speedy and meaningful development to our citizens.

It should be recalled that MCC is the only political party in the country whose candidates took an oath committing themselves to uphold the tenets of integrity and service delivery to people.

“Ours is a party that does not tolerate plunder of public resources,” said Mutua.

Mutua expressed his joy that despite being barely one year old, the party is now a force to reckon. The party has been ranked third in terms of candidates contesting for the various levels of leadership in this coming election.

While the members committed to undertake peaceful campaigns, Mutua called on security agencies in the country to deal firmly with people preaching hatred. He expressed his distaste for hate politics so that a repeat the 2007 elections not to be witnessed.
