Security concerns in Kenya has become a huge concern following the brutal killings of eleven police officers at Kulal in Garrisa and Mandera counties. In a bid to curb the escalating insecurity the government in a quick rejoinder has deployed more security personnel in the region. This comes even after a section of members of the national assembly asked the government to intervene on the looming insecurity in the country.
Mohamed Abbas the mp for Ijara and his Kamkunji counterpart Yusuf Haji urged Kenyans to remain peaceful during after this electioneering period. Several suspects in connection to the bomb experts behind the wave of explosions have been arrested and still being held in custody.
Kenya has suffered in the hands of Al Shabaab terrorists and security continues to be a major concern to the “mwananchi”. Following the act of terror, Kenya is left to question as to whether the Al Shabaab militants are restructuring for more attacks and is the government protecting its residents.
