NASA presidential running mate Kalonzo Musyoka has urged Tharaka Nithi residents to lock out Deputy President William Ruto from the 2022 presidential race.
Musyoka said that William Ruto has been attached to President Uhuru Kenyatta and the only way to lock him out is by sending Jubilee home during the August 8th General Election.
The former vice president said so in a move which he said would be dangerous for the residents once the DP rises to power.
“Imagine Ruto being the president come 2022. How will your life be like? Think about it Tharaka Nithi people, vote us in during the August 8th General Elections,” Musyoka said in a rally.
According to Jubilee’s political strategy, the duo is to rule for 20 years having Kenyatta rule for the first ten and Ruto to vie for the other ten.
Uhuru Kenyatta has ruled for the first-five-year term and is vying for the last term where his deputy is in line to vie for the presidential position come 2022.
Mr. Musyoka said that the NASA government would pardon President Uhuru with a good token when they defeat them but would not do so to his deputy thus asking the residents to vote them out as early as August.
“We will pity the president because we will give him a token but help us out do Ruto’s ambition of vying for the presidency come 2022,” Musyoka added.
Musyoka asked the residents to vote for NASA since their presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga had dedicated most of his past years seeking for the democracy prevailing in the country.
“Raila Odinga has fought until we have democracy in our country and we also have the new constitution that was promulgated on 2010 because of him,” he said.
