Wiper Democratic Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s son, Kennedy, has landed himself a second job, days after being elected to East African Legislative Assembly (EALA).
Shortly after being sworn in, Kennedy Musyoka was elected as the Vice Chairperson of EALA (Kenya Chapter).
During last week’s voting for EALA, Musyoka received awe-inspiring support from both NASA and Jubilee MPs. He was elected with 309 votes alongside Oburu Oginga (243), Abdikadir Aden (234), and Fatuma Ibrahim (143).
Former Kamukunji legislator Simon Mbugua was elected the Chairperson of the Kenyan team whereas Florence Jematiah will act as Secretary General.
The Kenyan EALA Chapter will comprise of nine elected representatives who will represent the County on legislative matters passed by the East African Community (EAC).
Other representatives from Kenya will include NASA leader Raila Odinga’s elder brother, Dr Oburu, Wanjiku Muhia, Abdikadir Aden, Mpuri Aburi, Fatuma Ibrahim, and Adan Nooru.
On Saturday, Speaker for Senate Mr. Kennedy Lusaka said Jubilee’s support for Musyoka proves that politics is over and they are ready to work across the political divide.
“We are very sure he will deliver. Jubilee leaders supported him 100 per cent, showing that we are one thing and politics is over,” he said
Lusaka asked leaders from across the political divide to work together to ensure maximum development is realized.
The Speaker made the remarks at the first public goat auctioning event in Nguni Market in Mwingi central.
